I need to upgrade my graphics card so I can play newer games. I am looking to spend around 100ish dollars on this graphics card.

It is on sale for 50% off! I can save 100$!

Is there any other card that would be better ?

www.Newegg.com has a lot of great deals (probally the cheapest online aswell) on computer parts. Got myself an 8600gt for $95, but also got a $30 500w PSU to go with it. If you know what you're going after, then I suggest you check out newegg.

I love how Bestbuy marks up the price then gives you a 50% discount, and it STILL ends up more expensive than it should be.

NVIDIA's GeForce 8600GT, and you can find offers where it's bundled with a game (Company of Heroes, for example, on TigerDirect).

I remember the list of games you wanted to play (Crysis, BioShock, etc). Just to let you know, a $100 graphics card won't play those games at high resolutions or settings without having issues.

I agree. 8600 GT will give you the best bang for your buck. It's on the same level as a Radeon HD 3850.

I think Radeon HD 3850's are more equal to an 8800gt.

I actually recommend saving your money for now, nvidia is rolling out their next line of video cards pretty soon.

I have the 7600GT from point of view, if your really tight for money then its only £40 and has great overclocking potential. No good of course if your botherd about Dx10.

I would say 8800GT, 256 or 512 MB versions, just because they're (relatively) cheap (if you compare to most DX10 cards...), and the performance is really good

Faster processor AND 512 megs of GDDR3 !!!!!

I've had it about 2 months and LOVE this card.

With BF2 & CoD4 I have almost everything Maxxed graphics wise, GW looks fantastic.

I respectfully disagree.

I play BF2 with Dynamic lighting AND shadows on.

I've never played Crysis but from what I've read you need dual 768s to run that on HIGH :O

Not quite true. While it may be true that the tech demo of the year crysis wont run well on high on an 8600gt. Bioshock, on the other hand, can run fine on high settings. Atleast it did on my 8600gt. But then again, mine was factory overclocked and then overclocked even more over the puny factory oc(it overclocks *very* well). So that probly helped it out a bit.
